This website gives an overview of my research.
Research
My research focuses on innovative propulsion architectures and turbomachinery. My goal is to achieve zero-emission aviation through clean energy conversion.

Propulsion & fuel cells
Sustainable propulsion
My research on sustainable propulsion is about the creation and application of new design methodologies for fuel cell-powered aircraft propulsion systems, hybrid architectures combining fuel cells with small gas turbines, and engineered microstructures in gas-diffusion layers.

Compressors & ducts
Turbomachinery
My turbomachinery research includes compressors and turbomachine-duct interactions, as well as the development of data-driven design approaches, RANS turbulence models, and machine-learning models for enhanced flow and performance predictions.
Teaching
In my teaching, I aim at a balanced approach that combines theoretical principles and application to equip students for current and future challenges of engineering.

Lecture
Fluid mechanics I
In this course, I teach the fundamentals of fluid mechanics. The lecture is aimed at B.Sc. students.

Lecture
Internal flows
In this course, I provide a deep dive into internal-flow phenomena. The lecture is aimed at M.Sc. students.

Student project
Fuel-cell drone
In this project, students developed, built, and tested a hydrogen-powered fuel-cell drone.

Student lab
Linear cascades
In this course, students design and simulate an aerofoil for a linear cascade. Students obtain the chance of 3D-printing and testing successful designs.
